How to Crop Amazon Shipping Labels

Amazon combines shipping labels with invoices in one PDF. Here's how to separate them, crop the margins, and print only the label — for both FBA and Easy Ship.

Why Amazon Labels Are Different from Flipkart or Meesho

Flipkart and Meesho labels mostly have one problem: large white margins around a single label. Amazon adds a second problem — the PDF you download from Seller Central usually bundles the shipping label with a tax invoice and sometimes a packing slip, all on the same page or the same multi-page file.

Printing that PDF as-is wastes an entire sheet on invoice text you don't need at the delivery hub, and makes it easy to accidentally hand a customer the wrong page. Cropping an Amazon label properly means separating the label from the invoice first, then trimming the margins — not just trimming margins on a single-purpose page.

Step 1: Download the Combined PDF from Seller Central

From Amazon Seller Central, go to your orders and print the shipping label the normal way. For FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) orders this typically includes the label and invoice together; for Easy Ship it's the same combined format. Save the PDF rather than sending it straight to a printer.

Step 2: Separate the Label from the Invoice

Upload the PDF to the free Amazon label crop tool. It identifies the shipping label region on the page, separates it from the invoice and packing-slip content, and crops the excess margin around the label itself — all automatically, with no manual selection needed.

The barcode, FNSKU sticker (for FBA) and tracking number are preserved at full scan resolution throughout, so nothing about the crop risks a failed scan at the courier's hub.

Step 3: Print One-Up, Four-Up, or on a Thermal Printer

Once separated and cropped, you can print one label per A4 sheet, four per sheet in a landscape layout, or export sizing for a 4x6 inch (100x150 mm) thermal roll. Keep the invoice PDF for your own records — it downloads separately, so you're not forced to print it just because it shared a page with the label.

FBA vs Easy Ship: What Actually Differs

For FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) shipments, the label includes an FNSKU sticker that Amazon's warehouse scans on intake — this needs to stay sharp and unclipped after cropping. For Easy Ship (FBM) orders, the label is what the pickup courier scans directly from your package. Both formats go through the same separation-and-crop process; the tool detects which kind of label it's looking at and preserves the relevant barcode either way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Amazon combine my shipping label with an invoice?+

Amazon Seller Central generates the label and the tax invoice together as part of the same order-fulfilment PDF, since both documents relate to the same shipment. They aren't meant to always be printed together — the crop tool separates them for you.

Can I print only the label without the invoice?+

Yes. Upload the combined PDF to the Amazon label crop tool and it separates the shipping label from the invoice pages automatically, so you can download and print just the label.

What's the difference between FBA and Easy Ship labels?+

FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) labels include an FNSKU sticker scanned at the Amazon warehouse. Easy Ship (FBM) labels are scanned directly by the pickup courier. Both are supported by the same crop-and-separate process.

Will separating the label from the invoice affect the barcode?+

No. The crop engine detects the label's boundary and preserves the barcode, FNSKU code and tracking number at full resolution, so it scans correctly after separation.
